Mo Morsi is a 27 year old software developer who holds a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and is currently employed at Red Hat. Interests include working on computers and writing open source software, reading, running, and socializing. Career goals incorporate founding and developing a large community-driven software product, while building a successful venturship in the process.

Developer on the aeolus project. Working on the Red Hat Cloud Computing and Emerging Technologies teams to design and construct an abstract cloud management and auditing api and framework, able to control any number of various cloud providers' services.

Syracuse Innovators Guild Feb '10 - Oct '11
Co-founder, President, and one of the principle organizers of the Syracuse Innovators Guild, Syracuse NY's premier non-profit hackerspace. Duties included organizing and managing the group, facilitating business deals to promote our causes, establishing and maintaining the infrastructure for the organization, ensuring the day to day operations are conducted in a smooth manner, among many other things.

Developer on the oVirt Virtualization Web Management Tool. Working on the Red Hat Virtualization and Emerging Technologies teams to design and construct a central web-based command console to manage large, scalable networks of hardware and virtual machines.

Developer on the Red Hat Exchange web site. Working on a team of individuals to analyze and satisfy current market demands for software appliances and single-stop software solutions.

Red Hat Global Support Services Internship May '07 - August '07
Software architect and project lead on the development of a major consultant management tool. Responsibilities included requirements gathering, abstract and low-level system design and implementation, delegating tasks to a team of engineers, and overall project management. Primary development was performed using the jBoss Application Server, in conjunction with J2EE, EJB, Hibernate ORM, and the Seam framework.

Red Hat Quality Assurance Internship May '06 โ€“ August '06
Primary duties included maintenance of the current Red Hat Errata Tool, development of the next version of the Errata Tool, and various documentation/administration tasks.
